About us

Transcribe NZ is a mother and daughter partnership.  Julie has spent the last 25 years leading and administering small but nimble New Zealand based NGOs.  A previous career was teaching secondary school English.  She is a multi-tasker.  Her personal interests include family history, netball and environmental protection.  She is a Rotarian and is a volunteer transcriber for FromThePage, a crowdsourcing platform for archives and libraries where volunteers transcribe, index, and describe historic documents.  

She is now exploiting several decades of experience in this business venture.  She has prepared hundreds of minute papers, has administered, sat on and chaired many committees, working groups and boards.

Julie will be the main transcriber and client contact, and will oversee all work including client engagement agreements.   

Julie has excellent literacy in written oral and aural English. She has a smattering of te reo Māori.

Julie also wants to support Grace to develop a sustainable income as she moves into tertiary study.

Grace's study is media studies and drama.  She is a book worm and mad keen on films.  Shen has achieved excellence in her academic studies to date. She is highly literate in English.
